We also have a "Super Sentence of the Week" quiz tomorrow. The super sentence this was a Compound Sentence. This kind of sentence is broken up in the middle with a comma, and followed by a conjunction (joining word, such as BUT, SO, AND, YET, OR). Here is an example of a compound sentence:
The colder winter weather is disappearing quickly, but it's okay because I love when the flowers start to blossom and the grass gets green.
